Information Technology Department
The Information Technology Department provides data and communication services for Edgecombe County. Our goal is to provide reliable, responsive solutions to enhance the delivery of county government services and ensure the availability, integrity, and security of vital government data which facilitates commerce and enhances quality of life in our community.
Maintains the data and telecommunication infrastructure of Edgecombe County; monitors and maintains the approximately 600 endpoints on Edgecombe County's network, including installing and configuring computer systems, diagnosing hardware/software faults, and solving technical and applications problems.
Responsibilities
The IT department is responsible for the operation and administration of multiple computer platforms. The department provides:
- Systems analysis
- Systems backup
- Systems programming
The IT Department also performs:
- Installation
- Maintenance
- Monitoring
- Planning
- Set up of computer systems
Both purchased and developed in-house software is supported by the department.
